We gratefully acknowledge grant support from the Government of Ireland
Thanks to an ESP grant from the Government of Ireland, an upgrade of the pathway from Martindale Road to the monument was completed in 2024. This project will enable current and future generations to visit this important historical site to reflect on their heritage and learn more about their ancestors — special thanks to former Ambassador Eamonn McKee and the team at the Embassy of Ireland in Ottawa for their support and assistance.
